Angela is a Registered Respiratory Therapist at our Edmonton South location and holds a Diploma in Respiratory Therapy from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where she graduated with Honours in 2012. Prior to Respiratory Therapy, Angela worked on the Ambulance as an EMT. Angela has worked at Avant Respiratory since 2012 and is currently in a position as Clinical Supervisor for Western Canada. Angela enjoys working at Avant Respiratory helping patients acquire a better-quality night sleep through education and follow up on positive airway pressure therapy.

Adam graduated from the University of Victoria with Honours in Science in 2022. While in school he worked for 5 years in a neuropsychology lab studying the effects of chronic sleep deprivation on cognitive performance. It was during this time that he first developed a passion for hands-on clinical work, and he hopes to use his research experience, as well as his enthusiasm for learning and teaching, to benefit his patients directly. In his spare time, Adam loves rock climbing, and taking his rescue schnauzer for hikes around Vancouver Island.

Reshi graduated the respiratory therapist program in 2014 at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. He worked in a variety of clinical settings from pulmonary function tests, home oxygen, clinical trials before finally finding his passion for sleep medicine. His mission is to improve the quality of life of his patients and continue to educate his community about sleep apnea.

Mandeep wanted a career in healthcare since early childhood. She began her pursuit at Simon Fraser University where she completed her Undergraduate degree with a major in Biological Sciences. She then went on to study Respiratory Therapy at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. Mandeep joined the Avant Respiratory family in 2017 and she continues to enthusiastically provide clinical support to an active patient base in Port Coquitlam.

Equipment and Funding Coordinator

Hyrum has worked in Medical Device Reprocessing for over 20 years in a hospital setting, working behind the scenes supporting Operating Rooms by ensuring functional, sterile surgical instruments are ready for surgeries and clinics. Some of his responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring our home oxygen patients have the continuous funding for their therapy, and keeping enough equipment available to supply the necessary services. Hyrum absolutely enjoys his role, as it allows him to make a difference in people’s lives.

Some interests outside work are; fitness, motorcycle riding, and spending time with family.
